Who We Are
We are a group of community members who love public transit. Instead of being expensive, unreliable, and unsafe, we want to make it a service for everyone in this prosperous city. We believe public transportation is a right. No one should be forced off the bus, refused a ride, or discriminated against.
This organization is founded to unite people in the community to demand our tax money go for transit and not military. We see so much money going for policing, that money should instead go to public services like housing, schools, universal healthcare and transit.
Transit is the best place to start. MUNI is beloved by San Francisco residents who and expect more from the supposedly progressive city. Additionally, it is better for the environment and welcomes visitors.

We are too busy working multiple jobs to deal with the bureaucracy of San Francisco carried out by SFMTA. The city uses us a source of revenue rather than providing a public service. Squeezing a few extra pennies from the largely working class people who depend on public transportation and do not have driveways/garages to park their cars is just wrong. The bay area is home to the most billionaires in the United States yet public transportation is constantly being undercut. Somehow SFMTA still has plenty of money to pay ticketing officers to harass riders.

As an educator, a traveler, and as a member of the community, I feel the need to say when something is unjust. Through my ongoing case for an incident on the bus, I found the need to join with others to take action against the mismanagement of public transportation in SF.
